Singapore managers 4th highest paid in Asia

Singapore managers slipped to fourth place this year in a survey of disposable income amongst managers in Asia.Managers in Hong Kong were rated as having the highest disposable income, with Thailand coming in second and China third.
According to a report by global management consulting firm, Hay Group, China's booming economy had resulted in a shortage of management talent.
This had caused firms to increase salaries for staff, allowing China to leapfrog Singapore into third place.
On top of this, the rising cost of living in Singapore had also lowered managerial spending power.
The report also showed that Hong Kong managers had almost twice the disposable income compared to their counterparts in the United States.
